#BeKnown at the West Suffolk
The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) has today (Tuesday, 3 September) launched a brand new recruitment campaign titled ‘#BeKnown’.
#BeKnown tells the stories of Trust staff and what they’re known for amongst their close knit working community. Big or small, everyone makes a contribution to the Trust and its patients.
Neely is one of the Trust’s nursing assistants; she’s “known for being a joker,” whether that’s “bringing cakes and treats in” for her colleagues, or taking “time to have a chat with patients to make them laugh and feel better.” David is a senior pharmacy technician; he’s “known for being approachable,” and took the plunge with a pharmacy career having worked for many years in a supermarket.
Initially focused on a variety of clinical roles across the Trust, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals, like occupational therapists and physiotherapists, the Trust is calling on people to consider developing the next stage of their health career at WSFT.
"Whatever your role, whatever your ambition, we want to get to know new recruits, to help develop your career and help you be the best you can be. "
Stephen Dunn CBE, chief executive of WSFT, said: “Whatever your role, whatever your ambition, we want to get to know new recruits, to help develop your career and help you be the best you can be. We believe our Trust is a great and nurturing organisation in which to do this and we welcome you to #BeKnown for whoever you.
“You may be local members of our community already or perhaps we can draw people to our wonderful part of Suffolk where we’re committed to providing an ‘outstanding’ level of high quality care to our patients and community, as acknowledged in our latest Care Quality Commission inspection. Please help us spread the word!”
Everyone from young people coming out of education and those with a few years’ experience, through to those with longstanding careers or who may be considering returning to practice after a career break, are all encouraged to join the WSFT team.
The Trust currently has clinical roles in both its West Suffolk Hospital and community services settings, and the campaign will run across digital and social media, and in print.
#BeKnown and #WeAreWSFT are the hashtags for the campaign.
